Seeding: Found Your Company.
Develop your business acumen.
In the seeding stage we need to focus on the formation of your business. That includes mission, vision, and strategy. But most of all the validation of your idea (problem/solution fit), the formation of a complementary co-founder team (vision / founders fit), and dividing accountabilities and sharing responsibilities. Besides team building and solution design, it's also extremely important to get all the legal stuff right and out of the way.
Do you understand why good leadership with a true passion and purpose is more important than seeding capital or a unique product? Are you able to forge a tight and multidisciplinary team? Do you have an inclusive mindset that sees abundance rather than scarcity? Do you know how to use levers and funnels to rapidly grow your business? Then you are already on your way to becoming a real entrepreneur and probably don't need us. If not, please contact us at your earliest convenience.

IdeationWe start with an entrepreneurial ambition and/or potential scalable product or service idea for a big enough target market; an initial idea on how it would create value. You can be one person or a small team. There is no need for a confirmed commitment or right balance of skills in the team structure yet.
Ukukhula will organize ideation workshops and value proposition design sessions in which we jointly discover the strengths of your potential business models, as well as improve upon its weaknesses. We guarantee that, within a few hours, we will offer opportunities that you didn't dare to dream about. The purpose is to find the optimum problem/solution fit. Of course we will test our hypotheses among the target audience using a mockup (Minimum Viable product), questionnaires, blog posts, social media, and experiments. We will introduce you to elements of the Conscious Capitalism, Lean Startup, Cycles and ExO methodologies and movements we have based our approach on. |
ConceptingHere we spend time defining your mission and vision with an initial strategy and key milestones for the next few months. We'll probably help you find a few entrepreneurial co-founders with complementary skills or assess existing ones. Maybe we need some additional team members for specific roles.
Ukukhula will organize design sprints to improve your minimum viable product and business model canvas sessions to strengthen the strategy. Perseverance, discipline, communicating with respect, and the ability to bind, unite and lead people are some of the most important skills of an entrepreneur. We help you to develop those skills through intensive coaching. You will have an opportunity to offer to friends and family. It's their time to get on board. They can now invest before anyone else at the lowest price. We will help you deliver your pitch. |
CommitmentHere we spend time to build a committed, skills balanced co-founding team with shared vision, values, and attitude. You now should be able to develop the initial product or service (Minimum Marketable Features) that we can use to generate feedback and investments.
But first we ensure that we have a co-founders shareholder agreement (SHA) signed, including milestones, with shareholder time & money commitments, for next three years with proper vesting terms. Additionally, we have a lot of potential Angel investors in our community. Angel investors have had successful exits from companies they helped to start. And they are now willing to invest their own money to help you start. When we are convinced that you are ready, and you have found a viable vision/founders fit, we will hook you up. And maybe, we will invest in your business ourselves. |
